The picture above is of polio.
Polio, or poliomyelitis, is a crippling and potentially deadly infectious disease. It is caused by the polio virus. The virus spreads from person to person and can invade an infected person’s brain and spinal cord, causing paralysis (can’t move parts of the body).
This is Jonas Salk. He found the vaccine for polio and chose not to patent it, so that more people could afford it, which cost him an estimated USD $7 BILLION.
Although he missed out on the money I dont think his generosity will be forgotten.
